About This Drill

SAT Math: Geometry and Trigonometry (Drill 3) is a Math practice drill covering Geometry and Trigonometry. It contains 5 original questions created by Brian Stewart, a Barron's test prep author with over 20 years of tutoring experience.

SAT geometry and trigonometry questions cover triangle properties, area and volume formulas, special right triangles, and basic sine and cosine ratios. This drill includes problems requiring knowledge of triangle congruence, sector area, and trigonometric relationships.

Questions in This Drill

  1. In a right triangle, one leg is 5 and the hypotenuse is 13. What is the length of the other leg?
  2. A cylinder has radius 4 and height 10. What is its volume?
  3. In a 45-45-90 triangle, the hypotenuse is 10. What is the length of each leg?
  4. In right triangle ABC, angle C = 90° and sin(A) = 5/13. What is cos(A)?
  5. Two similar triangles have a scale factor of 3:5. If the area of the smaller triangle is 27 cm², what is the area of the larger triangle?
